Reuse Map- Registration

This form is for organisations and businesses to complete for inclusion on the waste prevention and reuse map. The organisations and businesses must facilitate and support residents to reduce waste through refill, reuse and repair in order to be included.
Please do not include personal information.

Criteria

To register you must meet the following criteria (if you’re unable to meet all the below criteria, please contact us for advice at waste.prevention@leics.gov.uk):

You are based in Leicestershire or have an office/local site in Leicestershire.

Waste prevention is a significant aspect of your organisation’s aims, ethos or policies, or the service that you are looking to include.

You do not engage in unethical or harmful practices.

All relevant Health and Safety and insurance obligations have been met, including risk assessments where required.

You have considered public accessibility to your event/venue/initiative and all reasonable adjustments have been made to help disabled individuals access your event/venue/initiative.

Refill Service – organisations that offer refill options on goods to reduce waste packaging.

Repair Service – including repair cafes or organisations helping reuse of broken products.

Reuse and Second-hand shops – can include charity shops and recyling and household waste sites

Community Organisations including Community Fridges/Community Kitchens - Community fridges allow people and businesses to drop off unwanted or surplus food and others collect it for free.

Waste Prevention Initiative/Project – shorter term projects that may not have a fixed address

Workshops and Skills – Workshops that support residents to learn new skills to repair, home composting and cooking to prevent waste.

Other – please complete Q5 if you are unsure and we will assign accordingly

Moderation Policy
All services that meet the above criteria are included subject to the discretion of Leicestershire County Council. We reserve the right to remove or refuse inclusion to the map if:

The information you have provided cannot be independently verified.
You condone or call for illegal activity.
Waste prevention is not a significant aspect if your organisation
Your organisation’s activity is considered unethical or illegal.
Your organisation does not conform to our Values of Equality, Fairness and Inclusivity.
